 Court attached property of 145 former prosecutors of Crimea and authorized their detention

The Investigation department of the Directorate representing interests of the citizens or the State in court, fighting crime and corruption in the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimean peninsula of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine conducted pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings against the former prosecutors of Crimea for committing a crime under Part 1 of the Article 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason).

The court has attached movable and immovable property of the former Crimean prosecutors in the amount of about 50 million hryvnia (up to $2,174,000) in order to ensure court's decision on the possible confiscation of property, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The suspects have been put into wanted list under investigator's decision. The Pechersk district court in Kyiv granted permission to detain them.

It should be reminded that 145 former prosecutors of Crimea were served written notices of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of the Article 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason, which includes providing of support to a foreign state and its representatives in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine) May 14, 2015 and June 02, 2015.
