Stoika, born in 1983, is reported to be absconding from prosecution authorities. He is suspected of creation a terrorist group or organization (part 3 art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The Ministry also reports that Stoika disappeared on Aug. 17.
Stoika was the leader of the Zakarpattia Right Sector organization. He was held liable twice for disciplinary violations, in 2007 and in 2009. In July of 2009 Stoika was sacked from the Interior Ministry for incompetency.
The Ministry previously announced Stoika "the key person in the armed conflict in Mukachevo."
As reported earlier, on July 11 in Mukachevo a shooting took place with participation of people close to MP Mykhailo Lanio, local police officers, and the Right Sector members. According to various data, two or three people were killed, 14 received injuries in the shootout.
According to the Right Sector, the conflict has been initiated by criminal elements headed by Lanio, whose contraband channel has been closed by the organization. At the same time media reported that the shootout was the result of redistribution of spheres of influence over contraband channels in the region, including those of cigarettes in particular. One of the versions says the Right Sector was oppressing the Lanio group, the other suggests the organization had similar intents in support of MP Viktor Baloha.
