Putin in occupied Crimea: Ukraine will rebound and build its future together with Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated his thesis that the Ukrainians and Russians are one people.

He said this during a visit to Crimea on Monday, Aug. 17, Censor.NET reports.

"I think that the Russians and Ukrainians are one nation, we do not make a difference," Putin said.

According to him, "external control" has been introduced in Ukraine. The Russian president criticized the appointment of foreigners to the highest public offices in Ukraine. He believes that the appointment of foreigners is "humiliating for the Ukrainian people." "It certainly will receive an assessment of the Ukrainian people. But Ukraine will rebound and will develop in a positive way, building its future together with Russia," he said.
