OSCE observers inspecting village of Sartana shelled by militants, report to be presented tomorrow

The observers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) are inspecting the recently shelled village of Sartana in the suburbs of Mariupol.

OSCE SMM Deputy Head Alexander Hug told Interfax-Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

Hug said that the SMM observers arrived in Sartana at 10:50 a.m. today in order to gather information about yesterday's shelling. The observers were working at the scene as he was reporting to the agency. SMM deputy head promised the results of the inspection to be published tomorrow in the daily SMM report.

It should be reminded that the militants shelled the village of Sartana near Mariupol using heavy artillery Aug. 16 at night. Two civilians were killed and six were wounded including a child and his mother, who were severely injured as a result of the shelling. 52 houses were recorded damaged as of 3 a.m., including five impacted by direct hits.
