 Situation in Donbas is tense, Donetsk direction being the hottest, - ATO press center

Today, Aug. 14, the situation in the ATO area remains tense. The enemy used prohibited weapons to further shell our positions along the demarcation line.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center.

The report reads: "It has been traditionally hot near Donetsk. From midnight to 6 a.m. the enemy used Grad rocket systems to spray Vodiane four times and Opytne three times. Krasnohorivka was covered with rockets as well. Moreover, the enemy used 152-mm artillery to shell Troitske, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiskyi.

"At about 1 a.m. terrorists also fired Grad rocket systems at the residential areas in Avdiivka and Opytne deliberately destroying civilian homes."

"In the vicinity of Mariupol, at 3 and around 5 a.m. militants fired 152-mm artillery at our strong holds in Starohnativka. From 9:15 a.m. Novohryhorivka was covered by the enemy artillery two times. At 3:45 p.m. civilian homes in the village of Bakhchevik were hit with Grad rocket systems.

"In the Artemivsk direction, at around 1 a.m. the enemy fired rocket artillery on the ATO forces positions in the village of Zaitseve. At around 2 a.m. Leninske was shelled from 120-mm mortars.

In the Luhansk region, at around 10:30 a.m., near the village of Syze, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the enemy unsuccessfully tried to bypass our outpost," the press center stressed.

"In general, during the day, our soldiers strictly observed the Minsk agreements and fired only in response from weapons under 100-mm," the report resumes.
