 Militants reduced fire while using heavy artillery, - ATO HQ

Thursday, Aug. 13, in the anti-terrorist operation area pro-Russian terrorists reduced the number of attacks on Ukrainian troops positions, their main activity being recorded in the dark hours.

As reported by Censor.NET, this is announced by the ATO press center on its Facebook page.

"In the Artemivsk direction, at around 1 a.m. a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the enemy tried to bypass the Ukrainian military strong hold near Semyhir'ia. At 2:05 a.m. the Ukrainian military positions in the same village were shelled from 152-mm artillery.

"In the Donetsk region, at 3:30 a.m. militants used 122-mm artillery to fire at Novhorodske. At almost 4 p.m. militants shelled Avdiivka from 120-mm mortars and grenade launchers.

"In the area of Mariupol, about midnight, terrorists fired 122-mm artillery three times on the Ukrainian strong points in Orlovske and used 120-mm mortars near Shyrokyne. At 2:05 p.m. militants committed two 152-mm artillery attacks on Starohnativka.

"From 5:10 a.m. for about an hour militants were firing 152-mm artillery and mortars on the Ukrainian military positions in Bolotne, the Luhansk region.

"During the day, illegal armed units used small arms to deliver provocative fire along the entire demarcation line," the press center states.
