 167 National Guard soldiers killed, 708 wounded, 30 missing, 10 captured by terrorists since anti-terrorist operation launched in 2014

167 soldiers of the National Guard have been killed in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in the east of Ukraine.

This was announced by Valerii Shandurskyi, official from the Department of Moral Affairs for Directorate General of the National Guard of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

According to him, 708 National Guard soldiers were wounded, 30 went missing, and 10 have been captured by pro-Russian militants.

Families of 131 killed National Guard soldiers have received one-time payment for the total amount of 79 million UAH ($3.4 million), Shandurskyi informed. According to the official, 200 wounded soldiers were paid 9.5 million UAH in financial aid.

Shandurskyi noted that the state has no debt to wounded soldiers and families of those killed.

As of July 8, 2015, the number of National Guard soldiers killed in the ATO was 158 persons.
