 Terrorists committed 87 strikes on ATO forces using artillery, Grads, and mortars, - ATO press center

The Russian-terrorist groups continue shelling the Ukrainian troops’ positions in the ATO area using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. Traditionally, the militants’ activity increased in the evening.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO press center.

"The terrorists employed 120-mm mortars against our positions in Novhorodske and twice in Pisky and Avdiivka near Donetsk from 6 p.m. to midnight yesterday, Aug. 11. The mercenaries also shelled Krasnohorivka from 152-mm artillery at about 9 p.m.," the statement reads.

It is noted that the terrorists employed multiple rocket launchers against the Ukrainian army positions near Krasnohorivka at 11:45 p.m., having cynically violated the cease-fire deal once again.

"The enemy was committing strikes on Starohnativka and Chermalyk near Mariupol from 120-mm mortars and 152-mm artillery starting from 7 p.m. The militants fired at the ATO forces deployed near Krymske village in the Luhansk region from mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms twice at about 8 p.m. They also used 120-mm mortars to shell the village of Zaitseve at the Artemivsk direction at 11 p.m.," the HQ reported.

The gangs violated the truce 87 times in total yesterday, Aug. 11, having used artillery 12 times, mortars - 21 times, BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers - five times. The positions of Ukrainian troops were fired at from grenade launchers and small arms for 65 times.

It was also reported that the enemy kept committing attacks mainly in the Donetsk vicinity after midnight Aug. 12. The enemy was shelling Vodiane, Opytne, Pisky, and Novoselivka villages there from BM-21 Grad around 1 a.m.
