Terrorists continue escalation in Donbas, - АТО press center

Today, Aug. 11, Russian-terrorist forces continued escalation of the armed conflict in the Donbas.

Censor.NET reports citing the ATO press center.

The report reads: "From midnight, occupants used 120-mm mortars to shell the Ukrainian positions in Krasnohorivka, Berezove, Opytne. Around 0:30 a.m. militants fired tanks at Opytne and Vodiane.

"At night, about 1 a.m., near the village of Starohnativka the enemy fired 152-mm artillery. From 1:05 a.m. mercenaries fired multiple rocket systems four times on our positions in the village of Bohdanivka near Mariupol.

"From 7 a.m. militants abated firing. However, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. mercenaries once again shelled Starohnativka with 152-mm artillery.

"Around 1 p.m. two sabotage and reconnaissance enemy groups using small arms tried to get through our strong point. As a result of skillful actions of our troops, invaders retreated," the press center stresses.

"At the same time, according to available information, there is an evergrowing contradiction between the field fighters and the leadership of the so-called republics. The discords usually occur among them due to money and ways to earn it. The militants from the 15th territorial defense battalion had repeatedly terrorized local businessmen Brianka. In order to somehow pacify the criminals, pseudo law enforcers from Luhansk came to Brianka accompanied by an Omega special forces unit. This incident has once again fueled a conflict among the non-humans splitting territories for a gain," the press center resumes.
