OSCE reports attack on observers in Donbas

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ivica Dacic says the observers of the Special Monitoring Mission in Donbas (SMM) were fired upon on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

As reported by Censor.NET citing RBK, it is announced in a statement posted on the organization's website.

"SMM monitors were again fired upon this afternoon in eastern Ukraine," the statement reads.

It is noted there was a significant increase of cease-fire violations yesterday in areas east and north of Mariupol. The area in and around Starohnativka is of particular concern at the moment.

"Once again, I strongly condemn any incidents or actions that hamper the SMM's work. Inviolability of SMM property should be fully ensured," Dacic stated.
