Two more criminal proceedings investigated by prosecutor's office of Vinnitsa region have been initiated regarding the shootout in the city of Vinnytsia, which resulted in death of two people. In particular, with respect to illicit possession of weapon (Part 1 of the Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and violence committed by a group of individuals (Part 4 of the Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). It should be reminded that the information about this criminal offense was registered in the Unified Register of Criminal Offences yesterday under Item 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 115 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder).
Three direct participants of the incident have been already detained. Besides, active investigative and search measures are being taken to establish other individuals involved in these crimes. The clues, which could discover the reasons of the conflict, are being followed.
There was a statement on the official site of Vinnytsia region police on Tuesday, according to which the preliminary cause of the shootout at the Barske highway was a debt.
"All participants of the incident have been established by the law enforcers while some of them have already been arrested. The police officers have as well seized two cars involved in the incident. Czech-made 7.65-mm caliber pistol loaded with seven rounds has been seized from one of the perpetrators. Two more cars that may be involved in the crime have been put into the wanted list," the statement reads.
There were a driver and two passengers in Daewoo Lanos except the participant of the incident. As it turned out, the men were heading to Vinnytsia from Sharhorod district and accidentally got acquainted with a man on the highway, who later became the participant in the events. He asked to give him a ride to Vinnytsia.
