 “Two Ukrainian soldiers wounded yesterday in Luhansk region. Our retaliation seriously injured one of militants’ chieftains,” – Luhansk Governor

The militants continued aggression against the government-controlled territory over the past day (Aug. 10): Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, and Troitske villages were the flash points.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Luhansk regional military and civil administration.

The report reads: "Stanytsia Luhanska was fired at from 122-mm artillery, automatic grenade launchers, mortars, and small arms overnight. The soldier of the 128th Brigade was wounded by shrapnel as a result of the shelling. Two houses on 49 Barabashov Str. and 6 Lermontov Str. were damaged. There is no power on Lebedynskyi Street. The terrorists also fired Nyzhnioteple village in the Stanytsia Luhanska district from anti-aircraft guns this morning (at 7:30 a.m.). There is currently no information on casualties or damage inflicted there.

"The medical private of the 24th Mechanized Brigade received injuries as a result of the shelling of the stronghold in the village of Krymske.

"The militants continue using Grads. They covered the village of Troitske from multiple rocket launchers again last night, but have received a fitting rebuff from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fortunately, there were no destructions and casualties on our side. According to my information, one of the terrorists' chieftains was seriously wounded by our retaliation fire which impacted Kalynove village where they are constantly firing at our positions from," head of Luhansk regional military-civilian administration Heorhii Tuka said.
