"This night was as restless as the previous day. 21 attacks were committed yesterday. There has been no such hot days over the past two months in terms of the number of attacks, their intensity, geography, and weapons used by the militants," he said.
Chepurnyi added that the militants shelled the ATO forces' positions from 152-mm self-propelled guns nine times, from 120 mm mortars - eight times, used Grads and small arms including heavy machine guns twice.
According to Chepurnyi, eight villages came under the militants' shelling, including Mykolaivka, Novohryhorivka, Novotroitske, Chermalyk, Bohdanivka, Hranitne, Shyrokyne, and Starohnativka. Most strikes impacted Starohnativka.
He said that five attacks have already been recorded today: "The militants assaulted our positions near Starohnativka from 152-mm artillery once at about 1 a.m. and four times used MLRS Grad against our positions near the village of Bohdanivka," he said.
"The militants committed active aerial reconnaissance yesterday. Eight UAVs were spotted spying on the troops in the sector M during the past day," he said.
