Head of civil-military cooperation department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Colonel Oleksii Nozdrachov said in an interview with Censor.NET.
"60 per cent of them have most likely been killed. The others are prisoners who have not yet been established contact with," he said.
At the same time the colonel emphasized that this statistics concerns the Armed Forces of Ukraine only. According to Nozdrachov, the civil-military cooperation department officers in conjunction with non-governmental organizations have found and exhumed 614 bodies and remains in the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions since last year's September.
"The majority of bodies and remains were found near "Ilovaisk pocket", Saмur-Mohyla, and Debaltseve. This includes 44 bodies from the Donetsk airport which we took directly from Donetsk. They were exhumed by the commission on prisoners of war within the so-called "Ministry of Defense of the "Donetsk People's Republic"," he said.
