Aug. 8, illegal armed units continued firing on Ukrainian troops positions using arms banned by the Minsk agreements.

As reported by Censor.NET, this is stated by the ATO press center.

The report reads: "As in previous days, the Donetsk direction remains the hottest area on the ATO map. Here, the main fire activity of the enemy was recorded from midnight to 9 a.m. At 0:30 a.m. militants fired 120-mm mortars two times at our positions in Avdiivka. At about 1 a.m. terrorists used 152-mm artillery to shell the city's residential area. At 5 a.m. occupants fired tanks twice at Marinka and once at the village of Novomykhailivka. During the day, the enemy was firing small arms at Opytne. At 3.30 p.m. militants committed another attack at our strong hold in Avdiivka."

"The enemy has somewhat stepped up its activity in the Artemivsk direction. During the night, the occupants shelled Popasna with 120-mm mortars three times. From around 4 a.m. Odradivka was sprayed with 152-mm artillery.

"In the Luhansk region in the morning hours, illegal armed units used artillery, mortars, grenade launchers and small arms to shell our positions near Orikhove. In the area of Mariupol, at about 6 a.m. the enemy hit civilian homes in Hranitne with 122-mm artillery.

In general, today, from midnight to 6 p.m. militants violated cease-fie over 60 times," the report reads.
