 Ukrainian national escaped from hotel captured by militants in Mali

A citizen of Ukraine managed to escape from the hotel captured by militants in Mali.

RIA Novosti reports citing own source, Censor.NET informs.

It was reported that unidentified persons committed an armed attack on "Le Byblos" hotel in the city of Sevare in the Republic of Mali (about 600 kilometers from the capital of the state Bamako) Aug. 7. According to the preliminary information, the aim of the attackers was taking hostages from among foreign nationals living in the hotel. According to reports, one of the hostages may be a citizen of Ukraine. In addition, three citizens of South Africa and a French citizen may have also been taken hostage.
