Electronic registry for enlisted persons to be created by the end of 2015, - Defense Ministry

The Defense Ministry of Ukraine intends to complete creation of the state register for enlisted persons.

This was reported by the Head of the Defense Ministry Department for PR and Media Oksana Havryliuk, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"In the near future the bill will be sent to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. We expect the creation of this state register to be completed by the end of this year," she said at a briefing on Friday morning in Kyiv.

Havryliuk also said that the data of fiscal, border guard and migration services, as well as of the Ukraine's voter database will be used to replenish the register.

"Such a registry for enlisted persons will allow the Ministry of Defense to effectively prevent attempts of citizens to evade military service," she added.

Havryliuk reminded the Cabinet of Ministers had approved a draft law on the unified state registry for enlisted persons developed by the Ministry of Defense.
