 366 Ukrainian soldiers killed near Ilovaisk, 429 wounded, - Miliatry Prosecutor Matios

During the Ilovaisk events of August 2014, when hundreds of soldiers were killed in the city entrapment battles, Ukraine's losses totaled 366 people killed, 429 wounded.

This was announced by Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatolii Matios on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports.

"As a result of invasion conducted by military forces of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian soldiers were ambushed, extensively shelled by the Russian army and illegal armed gangs they control. As a result, 366 soldiers of the Ukrainian Army, the National Guard, and volunteer battalions were killed. Another 429 military were wounded. The Armed Forces of Ukraine equipment damages totaled 298 million hryvnia ($13 million)," Matios said.
