 Terrorists struck Marinka checkpoint, leaving four servicemen wounded

During the past day, terrorists continued attacks at Ukrainian border guard and army positions, firing from tanks.

In general, terrorists opened fire on the Ukrainian checkpoints three times. This is reported by Censor. NET citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

According to the report, terrorists once again attacked the Marinka checkpoint. Yesterday, until 2 a.m. they were firing mortars. In general, about 100 mines exploded in the vicinity. Also, militants used automatic grenade launchers, small arms, and anti-aircraft guns. Further on, they used tank to fire seven shots and an anti-tank guided missile, as well as small arms and anti-aircraft guns," the statement reads.

The Ukrainian military returned fire with small arms, grenade launchers, and automatic grenade launchers, holding militants off the positions.

The clash led to three border guards and one soldier being wounded. One of the border guards was taken to a military hospital of the Defense Ministry, his condition being satisfactory.

As reported, yesterday militants also fired small arms and anti-aircraft guns at the Zolote checkpoint with Ukrainian border guards and military.

Moreover, as Russian-terrorist forces were shelling the village of Stanychno-Luhanske, a border guard unit was hit as well, with two border guards receiving light injuries.
