 Last chance for Ukraine to overcome corruption given by US, Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abromavicius says

According to a recent survey by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, 97% of businessmen called corruption major obstacle for doing business.

Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius said in his video blog, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"What have the Americans said? Guys, we trust you, you have a good plan for reform, you have a lot of things already done, but we actually give you one last chance to overcome corruption - that is exactly what they have said," he stressed.

The minister said that according to a recent survey held by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, 97% of businessmen called corruption the major obstacle for doing business.

As previously reported, Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said during a visit to Kyiv July 18 that she considered the challenge of the fight against corruption to be the one uniting people in all regions of Ukraine, while the current government must show results in this issue.
