 Militants committed artillery and mortar strikes on ATO troops’ positions near Donetsk and at Mariupol direction, - ATO press center

The militants keep shelling the ATO forces’ positions using weapons that must have been removed from the demarcation line according to preliminary agreements in disregard of the meeting of the trilateral contact group to resolve the situation in the Donbas, which takes place in Minsk today.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO press center.

The report reads: "The most intensive hostile activity was recorded from midnight to 6 a.m. on Aug. 3. The invaders employed 120-mm mortars thrice against Avdiivka in the vicinity of Donetsk. Besides, the bandits impacted peaceful neighborhoods of this town from 152-mm artillery from the direction of Spartak at 3:10 a.m. The criminals also shelled Troitske village from 120-mm mortars at 4:00 a.m. and artillery at 5:30 a.m. Besides, the villages of Opytne and Pervomaiske came under fire from tanks and small arms of the mercenaries."

"The illegal armed formations committed two strikes from 120-mm mortars and employed 122-mm artillery twice against the ATO forces' positions near Starohnativka at the Mariupol direction.

"The enemy shelled Krymske village in the Luhansk region from 120-mm mortars twice after 4 a.m.

"The enemy violated the ceasefire 46 times totally today from midnight to 6 p.m. The terrorists used artillery four times, mortars - 15 times, small arms and grenade launchers - 13 times, tanks - three times. The ATO forces fired from weapons that were not prohibited by the Minsk Agreements in response to the enemy provocations," the ATO press center stressed.
