 Ukraine signs contracts for supply of South African coal at $77-78 per ton, - Minister Demchyshyn

The Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn states the cost of coal imported from South Africa is $77-78 dollars per ton.

He announced this to journalists, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"Today, we have agreements signed with manufacturers in South Africa, who are willing to export here for less than $80 per ton," the minister said.

He said the price of $77-78 per ton of coal was meant.

According to Demchyshyn, to prepare itself for the heating season Ukraine has to purchase about 1.5 million tons of coal.
