 Chief Editor of Visti newspaper put on a bulletin for tax evasion

Chief Editor of Visti newspaper Ihor Huzhva has been put on the wanted list today, July 31 on suspicion of deliberate tax evasion in the amount of 18 million hryvnia (about $780,000).

Censor.NET reports citing own sources in the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.

The Main Investigation Department of the Tax Police of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine is carrying out pre-trial investigation. The relevant entry has been added to the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations under register number 32014200000000066.

Head of the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy Viktoria Siumar reported July 15 that Chief Editor of Visti newspaper Ihor Huzhva suspected of large scale tax evasion. "I hope he (Ihor Huzhva - Ed.) will be able to find the opportunity to inform the law enforcement agencies on sources of funding of the newspaper and payment of taxes.
