 Illegal traffic through Odesa customs to be stopped in 100 days, Governor Saakashvili says

Odesa governor Mikheil Saakashvili promises reforms at the Odesa customs office, which will stop illegal trafficking in the region within 100 days.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"We together elaborated a plan through which we will be able to stop smuggling in the Odesa region within 100 days. For that, we will create customs zones in Odesa and Illichivsk ports, and eliminate all related services from there except for customs and border officers," Saakashvili promised at a joint press conference with the State Fiscal Service head Roman Nasirov.

Governor's other promises include cargo executions in 15 minutes, screening of only 5-7% of cargo, and totally new customs staff.
