Representative of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on ATO issues Colonel Andrii Lysenko announced today, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, the situation in the Luhansk sector remains relatively calm. However, the militants continue to provoke Ukrainian soldiers, firing from rocket-propelled grenades at the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Sokilnyky, Zolote, Popasna and Shchastia town.
"The most brutal violations of the Minsk agreements were recorded in the Donetsk sector. The militants are extremely active at the Donetsk airport and the town of Marinka. The Russian militants use 122mm artillery, mortars, grenade launchers, tanks, and small arms. The situation remains extremely tense near Horlivka town. The village of Novhorodske was shelled with firecrackers yesterday. A couple of private houses caught fire. Ukrainian soldiers who arrived at the spot to fight the fire were fired by the militants," the statement reads.
Moreover, the militants fired at the ATO forces' positions at Luhanske village.

"The terrorists have also renewed attacks in the Mariupol sector, using primarily heavy artillery. Yesterday in the evening, the militants shelled the Army's positions near Starohnativka and Bohdanivka villages with 120mm and 122mm mortars, tanks, and 152mm howitzers. The truce was also violated in the village of Chermalyk. There were five militants' drones spotted in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions yesterday," Lysenko concluded.
