 Property of company trying to illegally export over 12,000 tons of agricultural products impounded. PHOTOS

The Kyiv tax police operatives exposed activities of the fictitious company, which planned to take more than 12,000 tons of agricultural products abroad using forged documents.

"It was established that a company submitted export control statements for customs clearance of 3,150 tons of barley worth a total of 10.7 million hryvnia (over $465,000) and 9,075 tons of rapeseed worth a total of 80.9 million hryvnia (over $3,517,000) to the customs office of Odesa. Thus, it was planned to sell more than 12,000 tons of barley and rapeseed overseas avoiding payment of taxes and return of currency earnings to Ukraine," the statement reads.

According to the decision of the Shevchenko district court of Kyiv, the company's property as well as over 8,600 tons of barley and rapeseed worth a total of 73.5 million hryvnia (about $3.2 million) were attached. The information on criminal offenses under Part 2of the Article 205, Part 5 of the Article 27, Part 3 of the Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been docketed to the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations.
