German Foreign Ministry condemns French parliamentarians’ trip to occupied Crimea

The German Foreign Ministry has strongly criticized the decision of French parliamentarians to visit Crimea occupied by Russia.

Censor.NET reports citing Deutche Welle.

According to Commissioner of the German foreign Ministry Martin Schaefer, this trip undermines the international legal assessment of the annexation of the peninsula by Russia. "Any action that undermines the legal view of the circumstances of this case, is inappropriate," he said. According to him, the decision of the French parliamentarians to go to Crimea became a surprise for Berlin. Earlier, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that he was also "shocked" by the decision of MPs to visit occupied Crimea.
