 PM Yatseniuk expects decentralization to be supported by constitutional majority in Rada

Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk expects that a constitutional majority of the Parliament will support amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on decentralization.

"I hope that the Parliament will find a nerve to vote for the appropriate amendments by the constitutional majority," the PM said at the board of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services in Kyiv on Thursday, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.

It should be noted that the Verkhovna Rada supported the review of the presidential bill on amendments to the Basic Law of the country regarding decentralization of power by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on July 16.

In particular, the Verkhovna Rada legislated to submit the president's draft amendments to the Basic Law regarding decentralization to the Constitutional Court to review it in terms of compliance with the current legislation and provide its findings to the parliament.
