 Bloody accident in Poland took lives of six Ukrainians, 22 people hospitalized, - Ambassador Deshchytsia

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk had an urgent conversation with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland Andrii Deshchytsia following a terrible tragedy that occurred this morning near the Polish town of Garwolin leading to death and injury of Ukrainian citizens.

As reported by Censor.NET, this is announced by the Cabinet of Ministers press service.

The ambassador reported to the head of government on the circumstances of the tragedy. Yatseniuk gave immediate orders regarding protection of the suffered compatriots, as well as all possible means to assist victims together with Polish partners.

The prime minister expressed his deep condolences to the victims and families of those killed in the tragic accident.

According to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland Andrii Deshchytsia, this morning a bus with 49 people got in an accident near Garwolin on the road between Warsaw and Lublin.

Three people were killed on the spot, three others died in hospital.

At the moment, 22 people remain in the hospitals neighboring the tragedy site, as well as in Warsaw.

22 people not requiring medical assistance are now in the village not far from the accident scene. They are being given psychological assistance. Moreover, the embassy consul is also there providing consular and legal assistance to the victims.

Andrii Deshchytsia reports the corresponding Polish services were quick to provide all necessary assistance. In particular - transportation of the victims to hospitals by helicopters and ambulances.
