 Militants attacked ATO forces positions 34 times today, including from banned weapons, - ATO press-center

Pro-Russian terrorists carried out 34 assaults on the Ukrainian soldiers’ positions Wednesday, July 22.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center.

"The militants kept shelling the ATO troops' positions at different directions July 22. The pro-Russian gangs have committed 34 attacks on the defenders of Ukraine as of 6 p.m.," the statement reads.

According to the press center, the positions of military near the Donetsk airport were shelled from an IFV gun at 3.16 a.m. The shelling of the positions near the village of Berezove started at 05.10 a.m. The pro-Russian gangs used 122-mm artillery and 120-mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements against the ATO forces. The pro-Russian terrorists shelled the village of Opytne from the direction of Spartak from 120-mm mortars at 12.25 p.m.

It was also reported that the militants were shelling the positions of the ATO forces near the villages of Luhanske, Avdiivka, and Berezove from 122-mm howitzers and 120-mm mortar several times during the day. The attacks committed from 82-mm mortars were recorded in the vicinity to the towns and villages of Marinka, Lozove, Pisky, Luhanske, Krymske, Svitlodarsk and in proximity to the Donetsk airport.

"The enemy snipers were spotted near the towns and villages of Marinka, Luhanske, and Shyrokyne," the report said.
