According to him, the north wall is being taken down at the moment. The rescuers plan to finish on Friday, and on Monday they will get down to another wall separating the bay from Chkalovskyi beach.
"Dismantling is carried out by an order of the Odesa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili. The mayor and the renters have been notified," he said.
According to Fok, taking down the wall is not that simple: it is made of high-quality concrete.
As reported earlier, yesterday Saakashvili pressed for the beach to be open. The site has been inaccessible to ordinary citizens since the 1970s. Now it's open for people's rest.
