 Clandestine drug laboratory linked to Prosecutor's Office found by SBU, - Sakvarelidze. PHOTOS

Law enforces succeeded in tracking a drug laboratory with its products having been distributed by a Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office official.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the Deputy Prosecutor General Davit Sakvarelidze on his Facebook page.

"Yesterday evening, our officers together with the SBU detained a prosecutor of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and his supplier during a deal involving 20 gr of substance for the sum of 8,000 hryvnias ($330). The cost of the entire batch makes approximately 50,000 hryvnias ($2,060)," he said.

According to him, the lab whereabouts was also established. A set of necessary equipment and three hand grenades were found at the spot.

Sakvarelidze informed that the prosecutor and his supplier had been detained. They are facing nine to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

"Once again I want to emphasize an effective joint work of the PGO and the SBU. This kind of approach provides for real results in purging the system from criminals and corrupt officials. Thank you, guys, for productive work! We will continue following this path. We keep to our promises!" he added.
