The president pointed out that the preliminary findings indicate the involvement of the Russian military in the crash.
"The investigation is complete. The preliminary results strongly suggest that the Russian crew launched the Russian missile from the territory occupied by the Russian military," he said.
Poroshenko informed that he would hold talks with the Prime Minister of Malaysia and Prime Minister of Australia on this issue Friday.
Poroshenko said in an interview with CNN that a question on the prosecution of the terrorists who killed innocent people should be raised after the investigation of all the circumstances of the crash of the Malaysia Airlines aircraft, which took place a year ago in the Donbas, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.
The president stressed that Ukraine, together with the countries, which this tragedy impacted most - the Netherlands, Malaysia, and Australia, supports the international tribunal, which must be established by the UN Security Council.
According to him, Ukraine initiated an open, transparent investigation of the circumstances of the incident immediately after the tragedy with the involvement of the experts from the Netherlands - the country that lost the greatest number of its citizens' lives in this tragedy.
According to Poroshenko, four facts have been established after a year of investigation into the crash of MH-17 flight: the Malaysian Boeing was shot down by the Russian missile launched from the Russian Buk missile system by the Russian military from the territory, which was occupied by Russian troops and Russian-backed terrorists.
