Censor.NET reports the statement by the press office of the State Fiscal Service.
"A mobile team composed of officers of the State Fiscal Service, the Security Service, and the Border Guard Service stopped a truck in the B sector, in which truck nine plastic pallets full of coins of different denominations were found. It was established that the truck belonged to one of the organizations that has been supplying humanitarian aid into the occupied territories. The representatives of the transport operator explained that the cash had been obtained from the supermarket chain operating in the territory occupied by the 'DPR' militants. According to preliminary information, it is the very chain which the humanitarian aid was distributed through while the residents of the temporarily occupied territories should have received it free of charge," the agency stressed.
The issue of initiation of criminal proceedings over financing of terrorism under the Article 258-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is currently being considered. The audit is underway.
