This was announced by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the Verkhovna Rada during his presentation of draft amendments to Constitution regarding decentralization, Censor.NET informs.
The draft only provides for special order of local self-governance. According to the head of state, his bill does not contradict the Minsk agreements.
Besides, Poroshenko specified that the decentralization part of the document has nothing to do with federalization.
"There is no talk of federalization. Ukraine was, is and will be a unitary state," the president said.
Poroshenko also called upon the parliament to vote for this draft, which has been highly praised by the Venice commission and international community.
