 Relevant Parliamentary Committee commends Rada to pass no-confidence motion against Shokin

The Verkhovna Rada Anti-Corruption Committee decided to recommend the Parliament to table a no-confidence motion against Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Mustafa Nayyem announced on his page on Facebook, Censor.NET informs.

Nayyem reminded that according to the Constitution, a motion of no confidence means dismissal of the head of the Prosecutor General's Office from the post by default.

"The decision was supported by nine votes. Four members of the committee - Viktor Chumak, Ivan Melnychuk, Stepan Barna, and Yurii Derevianko abstained," the MP informed.
