 Mukacheve incident jeopardizes visa liberalisation with EU, - Minister Klimkin

Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin said the Mukacheve incident had put visa liberalization with the European Union at threat.

This was announced by him during a meeting of the parliamentary committee on European integration, Censor.NET reports citing Evropeiska Pravda.

"Yes, I admit this... There are a lot of politicians in neighboring countries trying to push this issue. First of all, in Hungary, but in Slovakia as well. Check the media in these countries and you will see," he said, answering the deputies' questions.

According to him, these actions are conscious and not due to a real threat.

"Of course, there (in the EU - ed.) are a lot of smart people who understand the reality. But some other smart people have different agenda," he explained.

According to Klimkin, there is a great threat the autumn will see pressure regarding the phase of implementation, when certain forces inside the EU will be looking for flaws in Ukraine's work.
