The statement reads: "The attacks were committed with the use of 82-mm mortars, SPG-9 and AGS-17 grenade launchers, ZU-23-2 antiaircraft guns and small arms.
"In particular, the enemy used Patrizan rocket launchers banned by the Minsk accords against the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strong point near the village of Donetske.
"The militants of the illegal armed groups committed shelling (10 rounds from AGS-17 automatic grenade launchers) of the territory of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' stronghold adjacent to Krymske village from the direction of Smile (LPR - controlled) at 3.15 p.m.
"The Russian mercenaries fired at defensive positions of the Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Zolote village from AGS-17 automatic grenade launchers and small arms at 10.20 p.m.
"According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Main Directorate in the Luhansk region, five soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces accomplishing minesweeping task tripped an unidentified explosive device and have been killed by the blast at scene not far from Bolotene village in the Stanytsia Luhanska district at about 12 p.m.. The bodies of the fallen heroes have been delivered to the morgue in the town of Starobilsk.
"Two servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were wounded near Triokhizbenka village during a mortar attack committed by the supporters of the "Russian world" at 5.30 p.m. They have promptly been brought to the medical facility. One soldier received gunshot and shrapnel wounds of the body and limbs while the other one had shrapnel wound of the abdomen. The injured military have received professional medical treatment. Their condition has been stabilized.
"No enemy drones have been recorded at the Luhansk direction over the past 24 hours.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine were firmly holding their defensive positions giving a fitting rebuff to the Russian-terrorist groups."
