The head of city police added that Lviv law enforcement officers did not associate these incidents with the events in Mukacheve.
"We do not link these incidents to the situation in Mukacheve at present. We are investigating these cases, checking all suspicious persons," the head of the Lviv city police department said.
"The criminal proceedings under Part 1 of the Article 258 (act of terrorism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine have been issued regarding the explosions, which occurred at two police stations in the Shevchenko district of Lviv on July 14," the statement of the Lviv police reads.
A subversive action aimed at spreading panic among residents is a basic version of the investigation on the explosions that rocked near the police stations in Lviv with a time difference of one hour today.
In turn, Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi said that the events are "exceptionally connected with the war in the east, and the enemy's attempts to destabilize the situation," when he was asked during a briefing what the city authorities connect today's events in Lviv with.
"Undoubtedly, this is Russia's aggression against Ukraine as well as the elements of the subversive activity," Sadovyi said.
