"Today, the press secretary of the president stated the Right Sector fighters allegedly took a 6-year-old child hostage in the Zakarpattia region. Further on, it was reported the child had been released. However, neither the name of the child nor the site of the incident, nor any details were specified in the report," the statement reads.

"Right Sector states this information is a part of an open war against our military-political movement, aimed at destroying our fighters possessing rather serious facts about smuggling corridor in Zakarpattia. We have to state that the authorities, instead of clarifying the situation in Mukacheve, turned to monstrous lie and discredit of the Right Sector. The allegations of the "6-year-old boys" remind us feeble attempts of the Kremlin propaganda to tarnish the volunteer movement coining stories like those on Russian TV about the "crucified boys"," the press service stated.
