Representative of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on ATO Colonel Andrii Lysenko announced today at a briefing, Censor.NET informs.
The statement reads: "Yesterday's enemy activity at the Luhansk direction was recorded only after dusk. In particular, the militants have committed several attacks on Stanytsia Luhanska from their usual position near the monument to Prince Igor situated on the high bank of the Siverskyi Donets River.
"No significant damage has been inflicted to the town but the water and energy supplying systems are out of order again. The enemy inflammations with the use of small arms and mortars have as well been recorded in the villages of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, and Zolote. In addition, the militants have shelled Popasna from 152 mm artillery.
"The situation near the Svitlodarsk reservoir at the Donetsk direction remained tense. In particular, the illegal armed formations committed heavy strike from 152-mm artillery on the town of Svitlodarsk and Luhanske village last night. The militants' activity at Horlivka direction was recorded only in the vicinity of Maiorsk.
"Meanwhile, the militants kept conducting heavy artillery and tank shelling of Verkhniotoretske village located between Horlivka and Yasynuvata. The villages of Novoselivka Druha and Kamianka have also become enemy's shallow objectives in our rare. The enemy has concentrated heavy weapons at close range to Panteleimonivka (up to 6 km) and has actively been using it.
"The battles in the vicinity of the Donetsk airport on a wide section of the front from Avdiivka to Pisky are underway around the clock. No cases of cease-fire violations on the part of the enemy have been recorded south-west and south of Donetsk.
"It was calm at the Mariupol direction yesterday. A single armed provocation committed by the militants has been recorded in Shyrokyne."
