 Situation in ATO area became tenser as Ukrainian soldiers rebuffed two attacks by terrorists

The militants fired at Ukrainian troops for about 43 times along the whole demarcation line from 6 p.m. on July 11 till midnight.

The terrorists violated the Minsk agreements for 18 times by firing from 152mm and 122mm artillery, 120mm mortars, as well as tanks and multiple rocket launcher systems.

In particular, ATO forces' positions near Pisky, Avdiivka, Opytne, Luhanske, Starohnativka, Lozove, Vodiane, and Donetsk airport have been shelled starting from 9 p.m. At 10.30 p.m., the occupants fired 122mm rockets at Ukrainian positions.

It is also reported that Ukrainian soldiers rebuffed two attacks by the terrorists. Around 15-20 militants tried to seize control over Ukrainian strongholds near Avdiivka (at 9.15 p.m.) and Verkhniotoretske (at 9.35 p.m.). Ukrainian servicemen forced the militants to retreat.

The shelling continued from midnight till 6 a.m. on July 12. Around 2 a.m., Popasna residential area was shelled from the direction of Pervomaisk. Around midnight and at 2 a.m., the Russian-terrorist troops fired at ATO forces' positions near Avdiivka, Svitlodarsk, and Luhanske.
