 Armed provocation by terrorists stopped near Shyrokyne

Provocative actions of pro-Russian illegal armed groups near Shyrokyne were stopped due to operative actions of Head of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of cease-fire.

Censor.NET reports citing the ATO press center.

According to the report, JCCC observers continue to report on cease-fire violations by the militants near Shyrokyne village.

"The main aim of such provocations is the daily maintenance of a high level of tension and armed confrontation in order to once again blame the Ukrainian side in violation of the Minsk agreements. On July 10, a JCCC observer reported that the militants attacked the APU in the southern part of Shyrokyne village. The shelling from small arms took place in the evening and lasted for 47 minutes, from 5.45 till 6.32 p.m. The shelling from self-propelled 122mm artillery lasted for 10 minutes, from 7.40 till 7.50 p.m. No casualties were reported," the press center stated.
