Abromavicius believes Ukraine's GDP has to double in 15 years, provided its annual growth makes 4,5%.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has developed the economic strategy of Ukraine involving principles of liberalization and economic freedom, which implementation will help double the growth of GDP over the next 15 years. "We believe that Ukraine's economy will be capable of creating jobs, generating wealth. As a result, if the principles of economic freedom will be complied with, GDP is expected to double in 15 years, based on growth at 4.5% per year. Of course, this is rather conservative for the country, starting from such a low base. At the end, the country should reach 7% (GDP growth per year - ed.)," he said.

According to the minister, Ukraine's long-term strategy will be based on five principles of economic freedom, including the rule of law, protection of property rights, zero tolerance to corruption, free and fair competition and a small but effective state machinery.
