 Avakov fires officials of district police departments

Head of the Desnianskyi District of Kyiv Police Department and two majors of the Obolonskyi District of Kyiv Police Department have been dismissed after countering the new patrol police.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the Interior Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov on his Facebook page.

"Countering and sabotage of the new patrol police in Kyiv will be strictly punished by me. With dismissals," he wrote.

Avakov noted that in the first three days of work of the new patrol police two majors of the Obolonskyi District of Kyiv Police Department were fired. Colonel Kuriata, the Head of the Desnianskyi District of Kyiv Police Department is also discharged. The Head of the Obolonnskyi District of Kyiv Police Department leutenant Nikonov was announced incomplete adequacy.

"The new police encounters resistance of the old system. Those resisting and wishing to live the old life will be countered, dismissed and brought to justice. This is the logic of the process, which is often brutal to the current servants. But it will be this way.
