Major prisoner exchange under Minsk agreements to take place in the near future

The Ukrainian side is preparing to hold major exchange of prisoners with the militants, which could take place in the near future within the Minsk agreements.

Representative of the Centre to aid the release of hostages Yurii Tandit said in comment to Ukrainska Pravda, Censor.NET informs.

According to him, the negotiators are now reluctant to speak about the exact time of a possible exchange for security reasons.

"You should remember that we also have not specified the time and date before the last big exchange. So I cannot tell you whether it will be in one, two or three hours. But it will be very soon," Tandit assured.

According to him, the exchange of a large number of prisoners under the Minsk accords, who are ready for the exchange at the moment and have been already brought close to the place of exchange, is meant.

"We will immediately make the information public once the exchange takes place," Tandit assured.
