President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting on the fight against corruption and smuggling along the demarcation line, during which a decision was taken to let only border guards and customs officers to the demarcation line checkpoints.

As reported by Censor.NET, the president announced this on his Facebook page.

"I ordered to draft a bill that would allow confiscating and destroying counterfeit excise goods. There is no need to take excise goods to the demarcation line. Fuel and vehicles used by smugglers should be confiscated for the needs of the army. The risk of losing a car will be a powerful incentive to stop criminal activity," the head of state said.

"We have decided that on the territory of the demarcation line checkpoints only border guards and customs officers can be present, and no one else! We must finally stop the flow of counterfeit goods," Poroshenko resumed.
