Prosecutor-grafter Shapakin to be released tomorrow on bail

First Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office Volodymyr Shapakin, who had been arrested for bribery, will be released from custody.

Censor.NET Chief Editor Yurii Butusov announced on his page on Facebook.

"The chronicle of the fight against corruption in Ukraine: Censor.NET has acquired information that the prosecutor Shapakin, who was detained for bribery and who was seized $500,000 and 65 diamonds from during the search, has just posted a 3,200,000 hryvnia bail (over $145,000). The briber will be released tomorrow. He hasn't grown poorer, as you can see. I wonder if he and his associates have enough money for a continuous foreign tour. The house arrest will certainly be as it usually is - without surveillance and bracelet," Butusov wrote.
