 Fighting corruption will start with police, prosecution, and SBU, Poroshenko says

Law and security enforcers will be the first objects of corruption fight in Ukraine.

This was announced by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his visit to Odesa, Censor.NET reports citing the head's of state Twitter.

"We will start fighting corruption with police officers, prosecutors, SBU representatives... Yesterday, a judge from Odesa court released bribe-taking police officer for bail, but today the bail was cancelled. This is how fast we're operating," Poroshenko said.

"We will start fighting corruption among our friends. Corrupted prosecutors, SBU officers, police officers, customs officers, border guards will be the first to be arrested. All those who demonstrate improper behavior on behalf of the state," the president said.

Poroshenko also noted that law enforcers shall report not on numbers of criminal investigations launched, but on number of criminals who have been imprisoned.
