No artillery strikes committed by militants on July 6, - ATO press-center

There have been no artillery attacks on our positions in the ATO area recorded as of 6 p.m. since midnight July 6. Most probably, this is due to tomorrow's meeting of the contact group.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO press center.

The report reads: "However, the engagement between the Ukrainian military and the pro-Russian thugs, which has started at 5.50 p.m., is underway near the village of Bohdanivka in the vicinity of Mariupol. Two groups of militants' infantry consisting of 10-15 people each are trying to assault the ATO forces' positions using small arms. The defenders of Ukraine give a fitting rebuff to the enemy.

"The militants were mostly using harassing fire from small arms and 82-mm mortars on the ATO troops' position near the village of Krymske in the Luhansk region during July 6. The village of Opytne and Lozove not far from the Donetsk airport were most actively attacked at the Donetsk direction."

"The flight of drone in the sky over Luhansk region was recorded at 2 a.m.," the statement reads.

"In addition, the servicemen of the Air Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spotted the drone flight over the sea near Mariupol last night. The unmanned aircraft was shot down by the air defense means and fell into the water. The operation for its recovery from the bottom of the Sea of Azov is underway. The situation in the ATO area is under control of the Ukrainian military," the press center sums up.
